About the Role
Our client is looking for a forward-thinking Educational Technologist to join their innovative team in Port Elizabeth . This role is essential for integrating technology effectively into teaching and learning processes, supporting faculty and students in leveraging digital tools to enhance educational experiences. You will be at the forefront of exploring and implementing new technologies that can transform the learning landscape, ensuring our educational offerings remain engaging, accessible, and cutting-edge.
The position requires a blend of technical expertise and pedagogical understanding to drive digital transformation in education.
- Provide technical support and training to educators on the use of various educational technologies and learning platforms.
- Design and develop digital learning resources and interactive content.
- Evaluate and recommend new educational technologies to enhance teaching and learning effectiveness.
- Assist in the implementation and integration of new learning management systems (LMS) and other educational software.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to educational technology tools and platforms.
- Stay current with emerging trends in educational technology and digital learning.
- A Bachelor's degree in Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
- A Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in an educational technology support or instructional design role.
- Strong knowledge of learning management systems (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Canvas) and other educational software.
- Excellent understanding of pedagogical principles and how technology can support them.
- Proficiency in multimedia development tools and digital content creation.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
