Are you a legal academic or practitioner with a passion for teaching and supporting aspiring legal professionals? The College of Legal Practice is seeking experienced GDL Tutors to join our Academic Team on a flexible, sessional basis.
In this role, you will deliver engaging online workshops in one or more foundation law subjects across our Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) and apprenticeship programmes. You will help students develop their legal knowledge and confidence through interactive teaching, academic support and constructive feedback, while contributing to a high-quality and inclusive learning experience.
This is an excellent opportunity for tutors who are passionate about legal education, widening participation and helping students from a wide range of backgrounds progress towards their educational and professional goals.
Graduate Diploma in Law Tutor About You- A Master's degree in Law or a relevant professional legal qualification combined with appropriate legal practice experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in one or more foundation areas of law taught on the Graduate Diploma in Law.
- Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain legal concepts clearly and accurately.
- Ability to engage, motivate and support students from a wide range of academic, professional and personal backgrounds.
- A strong commitment to widening participation and increasing access to and diversity within the legal profession.
- Strong digital skills and confidence using online platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
- Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- A demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
- Previous teaching and assessment experience would be advantageous.
- Experience using Canvas or another Virtual Learning Environment would be advantageous.
- Experience developing teaching materials and learning resources would be advantageous.

HoursFlexible hours (zero hours agreement)
Salary£25-£30 per hour, dependent on experience
