Our client seeks a dedicated and empathetic Academic Advisor to support students remotely, serving the East London area. This role is crucial in guiding students through their academic journeys, helping them navigate course selection, career planning, and academic policies to ensure their success. You will provide personalized support, fostering a positive relationship that encourages students to achieve their educational and personal goals.

• Advise students on course selection, degree requirements, and academic planning to ensure timely graduation.
• Assist students in understanding academic policies, procedures, and campus resources.
• Provide guidance on career exploration and connect students with relevant opportunities and support services.
• Monitor student academic progress and intervene proactively to address potential challenges.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student records and communication logs.

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in academic advising, counseling, or student support services.
• Strong knowledge of university academic programs and curriculum structures.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and listening skills.
• Proficiency with student information systems and remote advising tools , serving students in East London .
