The Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the University of
Massachusetts Amherst is seeking talented applicants qualified fortenure-track
assistant professor position in Remote Sensing Systems. The position is defined
broadly in remote sensing systems and technologies across theentire electromagnetic spectrum. We seek candidates working across disciplines with specific areas of interest
that include but are not limited to: microwave and optical, activeand passive
instruments or systems and their application to the remote sensingof land, water, or the atmosphere. Payloads and instrument concepts for small satellites or other resource-constrained platforms as UAVs are of particular interest. We are committed to expandingthe scope of our department beyond our traditional strengths.
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field or anticipate such a degree by September 1,2027.
