Job SummaryNaropa University’s Master of Arts in Cooperative Management program seeks an experienced curriculum/content developer to design an online version of the three-credit course MGMT 630E Democratic Governance & Board Dynamics during the spring 2027 course development cycle. This position is for developing the online content only, though there may be the opportunity for applicants to teach the course in a future semester.
CourseDescription:
MGMT 630E Democratic Governance & Board Dynamics
Effective governance is the defining challenge of any member-owned organization. This course focuses on the practical and interpersonal mechanics of "One Member, One Vote." Students will learn to design governance structures that ensure accountability while maintaining operational efficiency. Emphasis is placed on managing the delicate relationship between a democratically elected Board of Directors and professional management, ensuring that member voices remain central to the organization’s strategic direction.
Aboutthe Program

Coursework is structured across four 9-credit semesters, combining synchronous and asynchronous online study with real-world, community-embedded practice. During their second year, students complete a hands‑on field internship and capstone project with an active cooperative, credit union, housing collective, or advocacy organization.
