STEMaccess is a specialist STEM tutoring and mentoring organisation supporting ambitious students with science, mathematics, medicine and university preparation. We work with students aiming for highly competitive academic pathways, providing tailored subject support, admissions guidance, exam preparation and longer-term academic mentoring.
We are looking to recruit an outstanding Maths and/or Physics tutor to support a high-achieving secondary school student based in Dubai.
The student is academically ambitious and interested in developing deeper problem-solving skills beyond the standard school curriculum. The initial focus will be on Maths and Physics enrichment, including UKMT/Olympiad-style preparation, with a longer-term aim of supporting exploration of competitive university pathways in subjects such as Maths, Physics, Engineering or related STEM disciplines.
The role may include:
- Providing Physics enrichment beyond the standard school curriculum
- Developing problem-solving, mathematical reasoning and independent thinking
- Helping the student explore potential university course options
- Advising on longer-term academic development and preparation for competitive STEM pathways
- Potential future support for admissions assessments such as MAT, PAT or STEP
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a strong academic background in Maths, Physics, Engineering or a closely related subject
- Ideally studied at Oxford, Cambridge, Imperial or another leading university
- Has experience supporting high-achieving students beyond the standard curriculum
- Can explain complex ideas clearly and encourage independent problem-solving
- Is reliable, engaging and able to provide structured online support
- Has experience with UKMT, Olympiad-style questions, MAT, PAT or STEP preparation, or similar enrichment work
Previous tutoring experience is preferred, but we would also welcome applications from exceptional undergraduate, postgraduate or PhD students with a strong academic record and excellent communication skills.
