Springfield Public Schools seeks outstanding candidates for the Temporary Full-Time (1.0 FTE) position of High School GED Teacher / Middle School Math & Science Teacher at Springfield Public Schools' Brattain Campus and through SPS Online. This position is temporary for the 26/27 school year only.

This unique teaching opportunity combines two important instructional roles: supporting high school students pursuing their General Educational Development (GED) credential through the district's GED program at Brattain Campus and providing online mathematics and science instruction to middle school students enrolled in SPS Online.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the flexibility, creativity, and instructional expertise necessary to support students in two distinct learning environments. This position requires an educator who can effectively deliver individualized, student-centered instruction, utilize educational technology, build meaningful relationships, and support academic achievement through both in-person and online learning.

The High School GED program is a self-paced learning environment that utilizes computer-based curriculum, individualized academic support, and small-group instruction to prepare students for GED examinations in mathematics, reasoning through language arts, science, and social studies.

The SPS Online Middle School Math & Science program provides students with engaging, standards-aligned instruction in mathematics and science through a virtual learning environment. The teacher is responsible for facilitating online learning, monitoring student engagement and academic progress, providing timely instructional support and feedback, and adapting instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of online learners.
