Remote Childcare Curriculum Developer

Our client is seeking a creative and experienced Remote Childcare Curriculum Developer to design innovative and effective learning programs for young children. This is a fully remote contractor position, ideal for an individual passionate about early childhood education and skilled in digital curriculum creation. You will be responsible for developing engaging content, activities, and resources that support child development across various domains.

Your work will directly impact the quality of early learning experiences provided to children, particularly those in underserved areas and supported by our operations in regions like Upington, Northern Cape . This role requires a forward-thinking approach to educational design and a strong understanding of how to translate pedagogical principles into accessible online formats.

• Design and develop comprehensive childcare curricula for various age groups (0-6 years).
• Create engaging and interactive digital learning materials, including lesson plans, activities, and assessments.
• Ensure curriculum aligns with national early learning standards and best practices.
• Develop resources and guidance for parents and educators to support curriculum implementation.
• Research and incorporate innovative teaching methodologies and educational technologies.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and the instructional design team.
• Review and revise existing curriculum materials for content accuracy and pedagogical effectiveness.
• Manage project timelines and deliverables for curriculum development projects.
• Adapt content for diverse learning needs and cultural contexts.
• Contribute to the overall vision and strategy of the organization's educational offerings.

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in early childhood education, with a significant focus on curriculum design and development.
• Demonstrated expertise in creating digital learning content and resources.
• Strong understanding of child development theories and early learning frameworks.
• Proficiency with instructional design principles and software.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in developing culturally relevant and inclusive curricula.
• A portfolio showcasing previous curriculum development work is highly desirable.
