Online Child Safety & Wellbeing Educator

Our client is seeking a dedicated Online Child Safety & Wellbeing Educator to join their team in Benoni, Gauteng, ZA . This vital role involves educating parents, caregivers, and children on crucial safety and wellbeing topics through engaging online programs and workshops. You will be responsible for developing and delivering content that promotes a safe and healthy environment for children, covering areas such as online safety, physical safety, emotional wellbeing, and preventing abuse.

While the primary delivery method is online, this position may involve some on-site responsibilities, such as coordinating local workshops or engaging with community partners within the Benoni area. We are looking for a compassionate and knowledgeable individual with a passion for protecting and empowering children.

Develop and deliver engaging online workshops and presentations on child safety and wellbeing. Create educational materials, resources, and guides for parents, caregivers, and children. Educate families on topics including online safety, cyberbullying prevention, recognizing and reporting abuse, and promoting mental and emotional health. Facilitate discussions and Q&A sessions during online workshops. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of child safety legislation, best practices, and emerging risks.

Collaborate with the client's team to plan and promote educational initiatives. Potentially coordinate and conduct local community outreach or safety awareness events in the Benoni area. Respond to inquiries and provide support to families seeking information on child safety. Assess the effectiveness of educational programs and gather feedback for improvement. Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions.

Relevant qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Child Protection, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience working in child protection, child safety, or a related educational capacity. Proven experience in developing and delivering educational content, preferably online. Strong knowledge of child development, child safety issues, and wellbeing principles. Excellent public speaking, facilitation, and communication skills, both online and in person.

Ability to create clear, concise, and engaging educational materials. Proficiency in using video conferencing tools and online presentation platforms. A compassionate and empathetic approach with a strong commitment to child welfare. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must reside in or near Benoni, Gauteng, ZA , or be willing to travel locally for required on-site duties.
