We are seeking knowledgeable and engaging instructors who can teach one or more of the following subjects in English:

• Mathematics
• Physics
• Biology
• Economics
• Literature

Applicants need expertise in only one subject. The ability to teach multiple subjects or levels is welcome but not required. Familiarity with AP and/or IB curricula is strongly preferred.

• Deliver clear and engaging online instruction, primarily in one-to-one settings, with occasional small-group opportunities.
• Adapt explanations, examples, and lesson pacing to each student’s level, goals, and curriculum.
• Prepare appropriately for each lesson using NEEC-provided student context and relevant course standards.
• Provide routine homework guidance or feedback when needed.
• Submit a brief post-lesson progress note covering the material taught, student understanding, and recommended next steps.
• Communicate professionally and reliably with the NEEC team about scheduling and student progress.

• A completed bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject, or current enrollment in a relevant graduate program.
• Strong academic knowledge in at least one of the listed subjects.
• Professional-level English communication and the ability to explain challenging concepts clearly to secondary-school students.
• Evidence of effective teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or academic support.
• Reliable internet access, suitable online-teaching equipment, and a professional remote-teaching environment.

• Direct AP or IB teaching, tutoring, curriculum, or assessment experience.
• Personal experience studying within an AP or IB program.
• A strong academic record in the relevant discipline, including study at a highly regarded university.
• Experience supporting international-school, middle-school, or high-school students.
• Experience with online one-to-one instruction and exam preparation.

• Compensation: USD 40–60 per live teaching hour, based on subject expertise, curriculum fit, teaching experience, and demonstrated instructional ability

Routine lesson preparation, ordinary homework feedback, and a brief post-lesson progress note are part of the teaching engagement. Any substantial non-teaching assignment will be discussed separately before work begins.
