Teach Foundations of Math 11 online with School District 71, using advanced learning technology and personalized instruction. Work online and face-to-face with learners.
This temporary 0.50 FTE assignment teaches Foundations of Math 11 and Accounting 11 through NIDES. Teachers support province-wide students while working on-site at a Comox Valley school. The assignment ends June 30, 2027, or when the incumbent returns. The position includes online curriculum development, blended instruction, tutorials, and collaboration with students, colleagues, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach Foundations of Math 11 and Accounting 11
- Provide personalized online learning courses
- Develop and maintain advanced online curriculum
- Deliver blended classroom, learning centre, and tutorial instruction
- Support students online and in person
- Training, certification, or direct online learning teaching experience
- Math and accounting teaching experience at secondary school level
- Experience, training, or education in adult education
- Advanced learning management system classroom maintenance skills
- Ability to support course adaptations and I.E.P.s
