Brief

Description:

This position is part of the Supporting Inclusive Early Learning:
Working Together for Inclusion and Belonging projects. Working Together provides current information and resources addressing child development and inclusion in early childhood, after-school, and other education fields. The Authorized Coach will provide training and/or reflective, practice-based coaching on the implementation of the CA Teaching Pyramid modules online and/or at designated locations throughout California.

Position Overview:

An Authorized Coach trainer provides training and/or reflective, practice-based coaching on the implementation of the CA Teaching Pyramid module trainings to childcare providers online and/or at designated locations throughout California.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities include the following:

• Co-train the CA Teaching Pyramid Modules virtually or in person.
• Provide CA Teaching Pyramid coaching to assigned sites in accordance with the established policies and procedures.
• Support implementation of the CA Teaching Pyramid by making three to five visits to assigned programs over the course of a training cycle.
• Each visit includes a one-hour program observation and a one-hour reflective meeting with the provider/educator scheduled between module trainings.
• Additionally, the coach may be asked to virtually facilitate three Reflective Practice Cadres for a small group of coaches.
• Communicates regularly with the trainers of the CA Teaching Pyramid Modules.
• Creates a positive environment that supports learning utilizing appropriate adult learning strategies.
• Submits, accurately and punctually, all required paperwork.
• Provides group instruction to adults using effective teaching strategies, designated instructional materials, and relationship-based facilitation techniques.
