Into English is hiring South Africa-based online English teachers to give one-to-one reading and speaking lessons to students in China of all ages, from young children to adults. Lessons are 50 or 25 minutes long.

• USD 4–7 per 50-minute lesson (approx. R70–R120, depending on the exchange rate), based on your experience and qualifications. A 25-minute lesson pays half the 50-minute rate (USD 2–3.50).
• Paid every two weeks by Wise, straight into your South African bank account in rands, with no transfer fees for you.
• Monthly one-off bonus on top of lesson pay (two 25-minute lessons count as one lesson).

• Busiest: weekday afternoons/evenings in China (late morning to early afternoon in SA) and weekends.
• Flexible, part-time – you choose your own slots. Minimum 10 slots a week; the more slots you open, the more bookings you can get.

• Teach reading and speaking using our materials.
• Keep lessons fun and encouraging for learners of every age.
• Write a short note after each trial lesson.
• Teach on online classroom software – we train you on every platform we use.

• Fluent, clear English that is easy to understand
• A TEFL/TESOL certificate (120 hours preferred) or teaching experience
• A laptop with webcam, a headset, and a quiet, bright place to teach
• Stable internet, with backup power for load shedding
• Reliability and punctuality
• Legally able to work in South Africa, invoice as an independent contractor, and handle your own SARS tax

• Contract role – you work from home as an independent contractor.
• We will never ask applicants or teachers to pay anything: no fees for training, materials, software or anything else.
• Hiring steps: short interview and demo lesson free training on our materials and method assessment. Teachers who pass start teaching.
• 3-month probation. Pay rate reviewed after 6 months, based on student feedback and retention.
• Attendance rules: student no-show = half pay; teacher cancels
