Role Description  The Plant Manager (Establishment & O&M) – CBG is a full-time, hybrid role based in Waraseoni, with some flexibility for work from home as appropriate. The role is responsible for overseeing the establishment, commissioning, and ongoing operation and maintenance of the CBG plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant performance. Day-to-day tasks include supervising plant staff, monitoring production targets, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensuring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards.

The Plant Manager will coordinate with vendors and contractors, manage inventory of critical spares and consumables, and implement standard operating procedures for plant processes. The role also involves tracking key performance metrics, preparing regular reports for management, supporting cost optimization initiatives, and driving continuous improvement in plant reliability and efficiency.
Qualifications

Strong background in plant operations and maintenance, preferably in bioenergy, CBG, or similar process industries.
Experience in project execution and plant establishment, including commissioning, vendor coordination, and contractor supervision.
Knowledge of safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards relevant to industrial and energy facilities.
Ability to lead and develop a multidisciplinary team, with skills in workforce supervision, training, and performance management.
Competence in monitoring process parameters, analyzing operational data, and implementing corrective actions to meet production and quality targets.
Familiarity with maintenance planning, inventory control, and cost optimization in a plant setting.
Good communication and coordination skills for working with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and external agencies.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline; relevant experience in bioenergy or process plants is highly beneficial.
Comfort with hybrid work arrangements, including on-site responsibilities in Waraseoni and occasional remote coordination and reporting.
