About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Solar Energy Project Developer to join their fully remote team. This crucial role involves identifying, evaluating, and securing new opportunities for solar energy projects across various regions. You will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, from initial site assessment and feasibility studies to navigating permitting processes and negotiating power purchase agreements.

This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual who excels in a remote setting, possesses strong business development acumen, and has a passion for advancing renewable energy solutions.

• Identify and secure suitable sites for solar power plant development , conducting preliminary feasibility studies.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, local authorities, and other key stakeholders.
• Manage the permitting and regulatory approval process for solar projects.
• Negotiate and finalize contracts, including land leases, interconnection agreements, and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
• Collaborate remotely with engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams to ensure project viability and successful execution.
• Conduct market analysis to identify emerging opportunities and competitive landscapes within the solar energy sector.

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy project development , specifically in solar.
• Demonstrated success in site acquisition, permitting, and contract negotiation within the energy sector.
• Strong understanding of solar technology, project economics, and market dynamics.
• Excellent networking, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
• Proficiency in project management and strong organizational skills to manage multiple concurrent development opportunities.
