• Develop hydraulic models of water distribution systems.
• Lead preparation of water system master plans.
• Evaluate and design potable water facilities.
• Manage water distribution system study and design projects.
• Lead a team of project engineers and technical support staff.
• Coordinate permitting with local, state, and federal permitting agencies.
• Perform quality control reviews of water models, reports, and design work.
• Prepare plans and specifications for construction.
• Represent Baxter & Woodman at municipal meetings.
• Prepare competitive proposals and participate in client interviews.
• Develop business in the Chicagoland area.

• 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering.
• Illinois P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity).

• 6+ years of experience in potable water system analysis and design.
• Expertise in potable water hydraulic modeling, including master planning.
• Expertise with Water
  
  GEMS and Info Water Pro, plus ArcGIS.
• Knowledge of basic principles of water system design and plan preparation.
• Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction.
• Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman’s Illinois service areas (own transportation) and attend client and in-office meetings as required.
• Excellent technical writing skills
• Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.

The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $130,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
