Safety Advisor Engineer - Licensed PE; JC

About the Role

We’re seeking a senior-level safety engineer to step into a highly visible, high-impact role. This is not a compliance-check position—you’ll be the trusted technical advisor that plant leaders turn to when they need engineering-level safety solutions. You’ll apply deep expertise in design, safety reviews, and systems engineering to ensure risk is eliminated before it becomes a problem.

• Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in at least one core area, with opportunities to expand expertise
• Provide engineering reviews and sign off on designs for structural and fall protection systems, catwalks, and facility upgrades
• Advise on automation, robotics safety, machine guarding, and lockout/tagout
• Partner with operations and capital project teams to ensure safety is built in from the design phase
• Serve as an on-call technical advisor for safety and engineering leaders across multiple sites
• Travel to facilities (30–50%) for direct support, reviews, and collaboration with plant teams

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Structural, Civil, or related field)
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
• Minimum 5 years of industrial or manufacturing experience
• Proven expertise in at least one area: fall protection, structural safety, robotics/automation, machine guarding, or lockout/tagout
• Strong technical communication skills to advise plant managers, engineers, and safety teams
• Willingness to travel 30–50% across North America

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential

• Base salary $150K–$170K + 20% bonus (with potential to double at stretch targets)
• Remote-based with meaningful travel where your expertise is needed most
