Regional Electrical & Instrumentation Specialist - West Region

Jacobs is seeking a Regional Electrical & Instrumentation Specialist to support water and wastewater treatment facilities across the West region. This role combines electrical maintenance and instrumentation expertise to ensure reliable operations and compliance with safety standards. Occasional support to other regions may be required.

$85,000.00/yr - $/yr

• Perform preventative & predictive maintenance tasks, including thermography, motor circuit analysis, insulation testing, and UPS load testing.
• Calibrate and maintain flow meters, chemical analyzers, and dosing systems.
• Service motor control center buckets, motor starters, panel boards, and electrical motors.
• Troubleshoot PLC systems, solar systems, fire controls, and signal devices.
• Replace and repair instrumentation and control components.
• Maintain electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and telemetry systems.
• Work with SCADA systems, PLCs, and graphical user interfaces.
• Recommend system modifications to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Maintain calibration schedules and detailed repair records.
• Assist in planning and executing capital projects involving electrical and SCADA systems.
• Build and install panels in-house when feasible.
• Develop scopes of work, specifications, and drawings.
• Lead meetings to ensure project alignment and timely execution.
• This is a hybrid position, working from home and traveling to project sites.

• 5–10 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license with no major infractions.
• Experience with Maximo CMMS.
• Strong background in electrical control systems and instrumentation.
• Ability to travel 75% - 85% of the time.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician License (preferred).
• Knowledge of water treatment facility systems.
• Familiarity with safe work practices and applicable regulations.

This is a safety-sensitive position. Physical demands include standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces or k environments may include exposure to loud noise, high-pressure systems, electrical equipment, fumes, and chemicals. Use of PPE is mandatory. The work area can involve both indoor and outdoor environments. Employees must be able to lift objects up to 50 pounds from floor level to waist height, transport themselves across the facility, and lift up to 50 pounds from waist height.

Adequate vision, hearing, and fine coordination with computer equipment are required.
