Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer role at Jacobs.
This position is available at ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates.

Responsibilities- Layout and design of HVAC systems
- Development of the design criteria for the HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, temperature/humidity control, clean room applications, and other special requirements
- Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents, including sizing calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements
- Development of final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents (e.g., chilled water, cooling water systems)
- Coordination with other disciplines
- Professional Engineering License
- At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
- Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and to collaborate with other discipline team members remotely
- Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
- Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems
