Job DescriptionPosition involves applying extensive engineering knowledge to manage assigned projects, making independent decisions. The individual will develop and maintain close relationships with clients, including professional and social interactions with key personnel at the home office and site. This role acts as a liaison between the client and the company.
Responsibilities include identifying client needs, communicating those needs internally, obtaining feedback, and facilitating process improvements. The candidate will work with clients to address issues related to project scope, quality, cost, or schedule. They will also coordinate proposal preparations, develop project scope, approach, staffing, schedules, and pricing.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor ongoing projects' status, including budget, schedule, scope changes, and deliverables.
- Ensure contractual requirements are met, resolve issues, initiate contract changes, and facilitate payments.
- Review and approve invoices, understand client processes, and train staff as needed.
- Manage projects from design to close-out, including preparing project plans, budgets, and schedules.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in design engineering, project management, and client relations.
- Experience with plant procedures, budget analysis, and forecasting.
- Excellent communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and knowledge of project scheduling techniques.
- Ability to pass security and drug screening, maintain access to nuclear plants, and perform physical tasks in industrial environments.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree, PE or EIT registration, PMP certification, and experience with export control laws.
