Data Modeler/ Business Engineer
- Banking vacancy for our Switzerland based client in the banking sector. Your tasks:
Design and implement data models to support the replacement of legacy applications within a financial services environment Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical data models Assess the impact of new applications on data structures and architecture Work closely with stakeholders to ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance Use visual tools (e.g., Dataiku, Alteryx, or similar) for data preparation and transformation Document data models, definitions, and architecture for ongoing reference and governance Your experience/knowledge:
Strong experience in data modeling and enterprise data architecture Solid understanding of banking and financial products (e.g., instruments, transactions, reporting structures) Proven experience working on large-scale data migrations or modernization projects Proficiency in SQL is required Hands-on experience with visual data tools such as Dataiku, Alteryx, or similar platforms Understanding of how data supports business processes in a financial institution Language:
English (German is a plus) Your soft skills:
You bring both technical data engineering skills and strong business understanding Comfortable engaging with business stakeholders to shape data solutions Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
