. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Polymer and Pretreatment and is based in the Houston area with a remote working arrangement.
At Chem Treat, the nation’s largest specialty chemical company dedicated to industrial water treatment, you will help shape the future of water quality and support the sales team across the United States, Canada, and Latin America. You will provide application support to sales representatives and clients in product screenings, treatment program selection, and troubleshooting, ensuring cost and performance objectives are met.
Responsibilities- Provide field sales technical assistance and product recommendations, including plant surveys, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and application testing.
- Apply knowledge of polymer chemistry, uses, and testing procedures to support product screening and treatment program selection.
- Assist sales representatives in advancing the selling process by preparing written trip reports documenting recommendations and results.
- Support field troubleshooting and technical assistance, including problem solving, on‑site operator training, and equipment inspections.
- Travel throughout the continental U.S. on an average of three days/two nights per week (approximately 70% of travel).
- Bachelor of Arts/Sciences or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields.
- Ten or more years of field experience in water and wastewater treatment, considered equivalent to a four‑year degree.
- Five or more years’ experience with a major water treatment company.
US‑only:
The compensation range for this role is $145,000 – $155,000 USD per year. Additional compensation details may be modified at the company’s discretion.
