Summary and Purpose- Provide vision and leadership for Pacteon’s Aftermarket Field Engineering team using sound management practices
- Interface with the Project Management and Engineering teams to drive project success through Site Acceptance.
- Effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders to supply best-in-class customer service to our end users and integrators.
- Deepen the understanding of products, customers, goals, organization, and business strategies, evaluating systems and processes, and identifying improvement needs.
- Meet Pacteon’s quality standards while maintaining working knowledge of relevant technologies and best practices.
- Lead engineering activities for Aftermarket team such as obsolescence management of control systems, and evaluation and scoping of new projects and work orders that may require travel to customer’s sites for engineering evaluations.
- Ensure all startups meet the requirements of their Quality Plan, scope, and budget. Provide information / direction to Project Management and Field Teams daily to on time site acceptance.
- Communicate scope change request to Project Management and Aftermarket leadership.
- Recommend improvements in the company’s offerings and work procedures utilizing the Action Request process.
- Recruit, mentor, train and motivate Field Controls Engineers to promote their careers and business goals.
- Manage employee performance timely and effectively.
- Education:
- BS in Engineering
- Equivalent relevant experience acceptable as substitute
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in a design-build manufacturing environment with management responsibilities.
- Skills:
- Project management experience preferred.
- Advanced training/education in engineering, leadership and project management preferred.
- Microsoft technology and relevant design and life cycle management software.
- Ability to interpret technical information and break it down into learnable steps.
