Broadcast Technology Specialist – Media Infrastructure

You will be joining a team that delivers cutting‑edge IP‑based SMPTE 2110 broadcast infrastructure projects.

Candidate must be able to travel to the worksite located in New York City.

• Project Commissioning & Configuration

  • Deploy and configure broadcast systems at customer sites.
  • Ensure seamless integration of Lawo products into client environments.
  • Collaborate closely with Lawo headquarters in Germany for technical alignment.

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting

  • Provide remote and on‑site support for post‑installation issues.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical problems in IP broadcast systems.

• Pre‑Sales & Consulting

  • Assist sales teams with technical consulting and conceptual design.
  • Support customer engagements with tailored solutions and demos.

• Programming & Automation

  • Configure systems using Python, Linux, and Kubernetes.
  • Utilize Docker and Ansible for automation and deployment tasks.

• Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain detailed records of configurations, issues, and resolutions.
  • Create user guides and technical documentation for clients.

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Engineering, Audio Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in broadcast technology, preferably with IP‑based systems.
• Strong understanding of SMPTE ST 2110
  , Layer 3 networking, and multicast workflows.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical documentation tools.
• Moderate proficiency in Python, Linux, and Kubernetes; experience with Docker and Ansible is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
