Entry-Level Structural Engineer - Advanced Facilities ELE - Portland, OR
Jacobs invites applications for the Entry-Level Structural Engineer role in our Advanced Facilities – Electronics team in Portland, OR. This position focuses on structural design for new and existing projects, including analysis and design of vertical and lateral systems per applicable codes.
Base pay range: $70,000.00/yr – $90,000.00/yr.
Responsibilities- Perform structural calculations and analysis as design progresses.
- Collaborate with Structural Leads, Project Managers, engineers, and designers across disciplines.
- Document structural requirements in drawings and models.
- Manage workload, meet schedule and quality requirements.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering with emphasis on Structural Engineering (ABET‑accredited).
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, problem‑solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Hybrid/remote work ability (within approximately 50 miles of the project site) and reliable high‑speed internet (minimum 25 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload).
- Not available for sponsorship.
- MS degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Relevant internship experience in structural engineering with traditional steel and concrete.
- Experience with STAAD, Navisworks, Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC.
