Linux Engineer

The base of many open source cloud solutions, such as Open Stack, Ceph and Kubernetes, is Linux. Managing these systems requires a solid level of Linux knowledge. Therefore, we are looking for Linux Engineers who can keep track of, and maintain the Linux-based systems of these cloud platforms.

Key responsibilities:

• Resolving second- and third-line incidents within the Linux operating system domain
• Execution of emergency assistance for our customers on Linux
• Communicating with the customer regarding the progress and resolution of the incidents and assessing and motivating a root cause analysis (RCA)
• Execution of lifecycle management
• Participating in the improvement plans to refine our service provision
• Supporting the first- and second-line support team in solving incidents
• Extending physical nodes and installing cloud solutions (Open Stack, Ceph, Kubernetes)

To be successful in this role, you bring a combination of technical proficiency and personal drive. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and able to operate independently while contributing to continuous improvement across the organization.

• You have at least two years’ experience with Linux
• You have at least two years’ experience with Shell Scripting
• It is an advantage if you have a Linux certification (RHCSA, LPIC)
• You have at least two years’ experience with troubleshooting Linux based systems
• You are fluent in English
