Position: Senior Transportation Engineer

Steere is seeking a civil engineer with 5 to 10 years of highway/transportation engineering experience to join our Transportation Group and assist with the delivery of transportation projects throughout New England. The role will blend technical expertise with project management to a level commensurate to the successful candidate’s experience, qualifications, and motivation. The successful candidate shall be experienced in civil engineering and have the organizational skills necessary to meaningfully contribute to various types of dynamic transportation projects.

• Civil highway and transportation design and contract document preparation (plans, specifications, estimates)
• Coordination and communication with clients, sub-consultants, and project team members
• Quality review of work products

• 5 to 10 years of experience in civil highway/transportation engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
• Ability to lead designs and/or manage projects from preliminary planning through completion
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Microsoft Office Suite products, and Bluebeam
• RIDOT and MassDOT experience (preferred)
• PE license (preferred) or EIT (required) and the ability to obtain a PE license within 6 months
