Zurich North America is hiring a Senior Risk Engineering Consultant or Risk Engineering Specialist with extensive experience in power plant operations to join our Global Energy – Power Generation team. This work‑from‑home role is ideally based in Western U.S. and may require up to 50% travel.

• Conduct field and desktop risk assessments of power generation plants and associated equipment.
• Develop risk‑improvement recommendations to help clients mitigate risks.
• Provide consultative services, including exposure identification, loss investigation, and management program design.
• Deliver power‑generation training to underwriting staff and customers; mentor and support service design.
• Manage account risk portfolio and provide engineering to meet underwriting requirements.
• Market Zurich products with underwriting professionals and agents.
• Implement customer service strategies that reduce loss and improve operations.

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years in Power Generation Risk Engineering, or high school diploma with 8+ years, or Zurich Certified Apprentice with an associate degree and 6+ years.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Knowledge of exposure controls and best‑practice risk improvement.

• 10+ years in Risk Engineering or power‑generation plant operations.
• Military experience in propulsion plants or power generation equipment.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
• Certification in Risk Engineering power‑generation machinery breakdown assessments.

Compensation range for this position is $98,300.00 – $, with short‑term incentive bonuses reported at 15% to 20% depending on level.
