The Sr. SCADA Engineer is a key resource for and member of the solar/PV project engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) teams. The Sr. SCADA Engineer is responsible to develop engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of the SCADA and DAS systems used for electric grid monitoring, remote operation, and protection/control in the context of commercial and industrial solar PV projects.
This position will travel on occasion to EPC job sites. The Sr. SCADA Engineer applies wide-ranging experience in SCADA engineering related to a variety of aspects affecting the organization. The Sr. SCADA Engineer will support safe work practices including OSHA standards, company safety programs, and policies relative to the installation of these systems; and support enforcement of safety standards established by the client and the company to manage risk and achieve safety and health goals of no incidents and no lost time due to injury and no property damage.
Location :
This position will be based at either of our Columbia, MD or West Lebanon, NH offices. The position offers hybrid flexibility (3 days in office/2 days work from home). Relocation assistance may be available.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for long periods of time. Ability to traverse project sites with varying terrain and weather conditions. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. Occasional travel to project sites required.
Working Conditions:
Approximately 90% of time is spent in the Company office or home office environment, utilizing computers (frequent use of various Microsoft software/programs), phones, and general office equipment. Approximately 10% of time is spent visiting EPC project and supplier sites, attending conferences and meetings, and collaborating at company offices.

Salary range :
The full pay range for this role is $118,400 - $197,300 annually. The target range for this postion is $130,000 to $155,000. We generally base our salary decisions on factors such as internal equity, candidate work and leadership experience, educational credentials, and in some cases, candidate work location.
Responsibilities
- SCADA System Design Engineering:
Identify and develop client or owner requirements, reconcile design constraints, conduct functional analysis, develop conceptual designs, and generate specifications/scope of work packages for vendors and system integrators. Develop engineering studies, plans, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments. Manage, control, and document system configurations, especially regarding the EPC process milestones and operations and maintenance (O&M) plans. - SCADA Project Management:
Support the execution of projects having significant SCADA scope by performing engineering design and product literature reviews; and managing and controlling documentation of system baselines, the allocated technical scope of work, and test and evaluation plans. Facilitate the implementation of interconnection agreements, including system control schemes, remote network access, telemetry exchange via industrial communications protocols, and the associated testing process procedures.
Lead the technical relationships with SCADA/ICS vendors. Maintain project timelines and budgets. - Technical Troubleshooting:
Lead, guide, or coordinate the technical troubleshooting efforts for cross‑functional SCADA implementations throughout the project lifecycle; resolve issues or mitigate risks with the electrical or control system design, installation, and interface that arise at the project sites during construction. - SCADA Development and Execution Process Management:
