Overview
Join the Mechanical EIT Engineer-In-Training role at Wiley|Wilson in Lynchburg, VA. This entry-level position offers an opportunity to start a mechanical engineering career at a 100% employee-owned firm working on a diverse range of projects across sectors.
Responsibilities- Assist in designing mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing, under the guidance of a licensed Engineer.
- Create detailed mechanical plans and perform calculations to ensure code compliance and standards adherence.
- Support project coordination by preparing and reviewing technical documentation.
- Assist with field investigations and testing to verify installation and operation of mechanical systems.
- Collaborate with peers and clients, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam passed by start date.
- Revit experience preferred.
- Strong work ethic, analytical reasoning, and interpersonal abilities for effective communication with peers, colleagues, and clients.
- Eligible to work in the United States and able to obtain a security clearance.
