ICF is hiring a Lead Energy Consultant for our Energy Analytics practice. The role involves developing innovative, high‑quality energy transition products and services across multiple projects with all staff levels.

• Assist with energy efficiency, electrification, distributed energy resources, and decarbonization studies and program planning for U.S. and Canadian utilities and government agencies.
• Develop and design innovative program strategies, conduct market research on energy efficiency technologies, and perform advanced energy‑saving calculations and economic analyses for residential and commercial sectors.
• Oversee market research and develop expertise on emerging technologies, evaluate and benchmark program performance, and manage and analyze large datasets using advanced Excel functions.
• Prepare and present persuasive reports and presentations; co‑author client deliverables, white papers, and marketing pieces.
• Assist with business development activities, including writing proposals.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with a focus on sustainability, building energy efficiency, building science, or renewables.
• 8+ years of energy industry experience in consulting, energy management, building science, DSM program studies, regulatory support, and program implementation.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including data collection, analysis, and economic valuation (NPV, IRR).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• In‑depth knowledge of energy efficiency technologies, utility cost‑effectiveness tests, DSM, and distributed energy resources.
• Understanding of energy policy and regulation, U.S. and Canadian codes (IECC, ASHRAE), and energy storage and CHP systems.
• Graduate degree in engineering or a related field (specializing in sustainability, building science, or energy policy).
• Experience in regulatory and public stakeholder processes, project resource management, and business development.
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
