Substation Engineer - Lead, Remote at Control Point Technologies, Inc.

Control Point Technologies is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer to provide project support within our Substation Engineering team. Candidates must have direct experience with substation protection and control projects for electric utilities. The projects will range from 4kV to 345kV, and the candidate will be client‑facing and interface with other disciplines. Project management skills and the ability to meet critical deadlines are required.

Must be an outgoing team player with the ability to provide client confidence.

• Prepare calculations for studies and reports (grounding, lightning protection, voltage drop, AC/DC load studies, etc.)
• Support/coordinate engineering and design related to Civil/Structural aspects of the designs
• Coordination with Protection Control

• Project Engineering Lead
• Provide guidance and mentorship within engineering and design team
• Perform quality control/assurance reviews
• Project support from scoping to final design and project closeout

• Excellent communication skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Professional Engineering Licensure (PE) is required; candidates with Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) on path to licensure will be considered
• Minimum of ten (10) years' experience in the electric utility industry
• Experience in utility substation engineering with focus on electrical or physical aspects of design
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Micro Station is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
