Job Description
We're looking for a highly skilled professional in the field of Remote Sensing Environmental Hazards. This role requires a unique combination of technical skills and environmental awareness to work with satellite imagery and aerial data to monitor and assess environmental hazards. If you are proficient in remote sensing technologies, data analysis, and geographic information systems (G.I.S), and possess strong analytical, problem-solving abilities, we'd love to hear from you.
JobPurpose
The main purpose of this role is to utilize remote sensing techniques and geospatial technology to identify, monitor, assess, and mitigate environmental hazards. This includes natural disasters, pollution, land degradation, and any potential threats to the environment. Your in-depth understanding of environmental science and ability to interpret data will play a crucial role in aiding our efforts to combat environmental challenges and enhance public safety.
Job Duties and Responsibilities- Utilize remote sensing technologies and GIS to determine, monitor, and gauge environmental hazards such as natural disasters, pollution, and degradation of land.
- Apply analytical skills to interpret and make sense of data gathered, transforming it into actionable insights.
- Work collaboratively with other teams and stakeholders providing advice and sharing expertise on issues related to environmental hazards.
- Provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies based on data analysis results.
