Avionics Test Equipment Specialist:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a subject matter expert, supporting our market leading flight line test solutions.
VIAVI is looking for an Avionics Test Equipment Specialist at our Lenexa, Kansas location. This is a cross-functional role within Product Management that works closely with the engineering and development teams.

* Duties & Responsibilities:

**** Job Responsibilities**:
• Providing technical support to customers through presentations, product demonstrations, training, and operation of our avionics test products.  
• Assisting product management in assessing potential application of products to meet customer needs.  
• Ensuring that the product applications/solutions are functioning according to specifications.  
• Defining hardware and software defects, interfacing with development teams, and support resolution.  
• Assisting in writing product user manuals and application notes.  
• Provide technical support to VIAVI’s Technical Assistance Center.
** Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
**** Required experience**:
* Knowledge of avionics systems including communication, navigation, transponder, and TCAS
* Problem-solving capabilities and ability to organize and present test data.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Meets ITAR Guidelines as defined by USCIS (US Citizen, Green Card/Permanent Resident, or approved Political Asylee status)
** Desired experience:
*** At least four years of avionics maintenance experience and technical associate’s degree.
* Military, air transport, and/or general aviation avionics systems maintenance background including aircraft fuel quantity systems.
* Program applications design and development experience.
