Risk Consultant, Property Field Engineer - Michigan

Overview

Risk Consultant, Property Field Engineer - Michigan role at AXA XL. This position provides risk consulting services for large property loss control and natural hazards evaluation. The role requires a robust engineering background to identify and mitigate property fire and Nat Cat risk exposures for a broad range of project types and customers. The role is fully remote and supports Michigan clients;

the candidate must be located in the state of Michigan.

• Review commercial property protection, including fire protection and water supply analysis
• Conduct onsite visits to assess property and Nat Cat exposures and develop detailed reports with conditions and recommendations for improvement
• Analyze building construction, fire protection features, process operations and special hazards
• Collaborate with AXA XL Risk Consulting engineers to serve clients
• Build credibility and create customer satisfaction by demonstrating the value of risk engineering services
• Service the Southeast Region and support insured and non-insured clients. Travel is anticipated to be 20-25%

• Experience with Large Property sites
• Robust working knowledge of NFPA Codes, FM Data Sheets, and local requirements
• Robust working knowledge of fire protection or willingness to learn
• Engineering or Science based undergraduate degree;
  Chemical Engineering preferred
• Ability to apply industry experience to a broad range of customers and projects, consult effectively on property risk controls, and identify exposures/assess controls on complex risks
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to explain technical information to a broad audience
• Self-starter; capable of managing schedule and resources in a remote work environment
• Collaborative, able to work with internal and external partners on special projects
• Valid driver’s license required

Total Rewards and Benefits: AXA XL offers competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits. The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 83,. Actual pay determined by skills, experience, and location.
