The Application Engineer draws on technical and product knowledge to support sales, system design, troubleshooting and optimal product usage.

Provides product solutions and recommendations in partnership with Business Development Managers to drive sales.

• Strong knowledge of flow meters and valves with the ability to determine which offering is best suited to the application.
• Understanding of industrial instrumentation and mechanical knowledge of how valves function.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret product datasheets.
• Knowledge of and ability to develop quotes and bids.
• Handling all correspondence and inquiries with customers and account managers regarding product applications, technical information, process and the preparation of quotations and system sketches where necessary.
• Assist customer and/or account managers on all questions concerning our product specifications.
• Capable of performing flow meter and control valve sizing/selection.

• Bachelor’s degree or 3–6 years related experience.
• Deep knowledge of product lines and related technology.
• Ability to learn customers’ processes and business practices to identify optimal product solutions.
• Understanding of discounting, margins and multipliers.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.

• Conducive to remote work; most time spent on inside technical work.
• Some regional travel to customer locations possible.
• Typical hours Monday through Friday, with flexibility based on business and personal needs.
