This position is hybrid with required onsite work at the client’s facility in Plano, Texas. Due to the nature of the role and onsite responsibilities, candidates must be located in the DFW Metroplex.
OverviewFNS Systems LLC is seeking a highly skilled RF Engineer specializing in mobile wireless systems to support our client in delivering cutting‑edge telecommunications products and solutions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and maintaining RF systems while providing advanced troubleshooting and support to ensure high‑quality performance across all deployments.
Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain RF systems and solutions, ensuring optimal performance, coverage, and reliability for mobile wireless networks.
- Provide expert‑level troubleshooting and technical support for RF‑related issues, working both remotely and on‑site as needed.
- Collaborate with internal engineering teams, external partners, and customers to develop, refine, and enhance RF‑related products, services, and technical solutions.
- Utilize Meritech’s Sigma platform to deliver RF performance insights, generate reports, and conduct training sessions for customers on proper use of the tool.
- Perform RF surveys and site assessments to identify sources of interference, evaluate network health, and recommend improvements to maximize performance.
- Analyze and interpret RF datasets, including signal strength, interference, SINR, noise levels, and other KPIs, to provide data‑driven recommendations for optimization.
- Stay current with industry standards, technologies, and emerging RF trends, applying new knowledge to enhance system performance and maintain technical excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong technical background in mobile wireless RF engineering (LTE, 5G , small cells, etc.).
- Hands‑on experience with RF tools, analyzers, scanners, drive‑test equipment, or network optimization platforms.
- Experience with RF modeling, data interpretation, and optimization methodologies.
- Familiarity with Meritech’s Sigma platform is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, customer‑facing, and documentation skills.
- Ability to travel for on‑site assessments and customer support when required.
