Position: Renewables Project Development Manager / Sr. Project Developer (Canada) - REMOTE

    • What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  • Identify, research, prospect, and site land opportunities for utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects
  • Work on all initiatives related to site acquisition, financing, and development of utility-scale energy storage and renewable energy projects
  • Negotiate with landowners on site control agreements for utility-scale renewable and energy storage projects
  • Support development activities for both new and ongoing utility-scale renewable and energy storage projects in the company's portfolio, with a focus on tax abatement, permitting, and environmental compliance

    • What is Required (Qualifications):

  • 3-5+ years of utility-scale renewable energy, energy storage, battery storage, LNG, and/or natural gas experience
  • Hands-on experience with real estate transactions and contracts for projects in the renewables, natural gas, LNG, or energy storage space
  • Understanding of the RFP/RFI process as it relates to project development initiatives
  • Knowledge of project siting, permitting, prospecting, and due diligence for utility-scale renewable projects
  • Experience in site prospecting, land negotiations, and project financing initiatives
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic team-oriented environment

  • Exposure or project experience with energy storage, battery storage, or solar + storage
