What you will doIn our Advanced Manufacturing Group, our team delivers cost-effective and transformative projects to various markets. We are looking for an experienced, high-energy, HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for heavy industrial clients. You will work with engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.
You will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks while learning client expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.
Your role is to collaborate with a multi-discipline, interactive team to meet client needs and contribute to well-designed facilities and value-driven strategies.
Responsibilities- Layout and design of HVAC systems
- Development of design criteria for HVAC systems, including general comfort heating and cooling, precise temperature or humidity control, clean room or unique environmental requirements
- Development of conceptual and preliminary design documents with calculations, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements
- Development of final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layouts, and final construction documents (e.g., chilled water, cooling water systems)
- Coordination with other disciplines
- Professional Engineering License
- At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines
- Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely
- Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D
- Experience in design of plumbing/utility systems
