RF Engineer (P3)

Using sound engineering principles and planning tools, this entry level position supports the RF Engineering team's activities for sales support, design engineering (Small Cells and iDAS), construction technical support, system testing and optimization.

• In support of Senior RF Engineers and/or RF Engineers create iDAS and Small Cell network designs to include system equipment selection such as antennas, passive RF conditioning products and active electronics.
• Produce and document RF predictions and link budgets for design approvals.
• Assist the construction teams’ efforts by ensuring detailed scopes of work (SOW), processes, procedures, and test plans.
• Develop software proficiency with industry standard RF propagation modeling tools such as iBwave and Atoll.
• Be directly responsible for updating system databases including but not limited to Small Cell Geographic Information System (SCGIS) and Asset Management System (AMS).
• Participate in field testing activities such as evaluating existing RF environment (Benchmarking) and Continuous Wave (CW) propagation analysis.
• Participate in the analysis of field-testing results and the preparation of customer documentation.
• Be familiar with various types of test equipment such as power meter, spectrum analyzer, pilot scanner and test mobile system (TEMS) devices.
• Assist with RF and fiber testing, reporting, and troubleshooting.
• Review and approve various construction contractor provided field test results such as PIM, VSWR and DTF.
• Have a firm understanding of link budgets, calculated noise figures, and intermodulation products.
• Have basic knowledge of radio wave propagation fundamentals, antenna theory, and optical transmission medium.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) and Science in Electrical Engineering.

• 0 – 2 years RF engineering experience or equivalent.

Hybrid: 1 day work from home (typically Friday but may vary) and 4 days in the office. May require some travel as needed.

The salary range is $73,900 – $101,600 annually. A candidate’s offer is determined by various factors including experience, role‑related knowledge, education or training, internal alignment, and work location. The package may include incentive compensation opportunities and equity incentives.
