• Mastery of IEEE 1491.1 (JTAG standard): understanding TAP states, reading and debugging BSDL, generating boundary scan patterns.
• Proficiency in IEEE 1687 (IJTAG standard): reading, interpreting Instrument Connectivity Language (ICL), writing and debugging Procedure Description Language (PDL), and understanding IJTAG’s role in IP block integration and reuse.
• Understanding of IEEE 1838: PTAP‑STAP structure and Flexible Parallel Port (FPP) support for multi‑die designs.
• DFT Design and Verification fundamentals: reading RTL code, solid grasp of scan design, ATPG, memory BIST, and interactions with JTAG/IJTAG/1838.
• Experience with commercial DFT tools for JTAG/IJTAG (1687) implementation and integration, ICL/PDL generation, and validation.
• Strong communication skills: ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly in written, verbal, and interpersonal contexts.
• Problem‑solving and reasoning skills.
• Typically requires five to eight years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
