Overview
Structural Engineer - Temporary Works, London WC2. Salary: £45k-£65k per year.
A well established and highly reputable specialist Temporary Works Design Consultancy have an opening for a Structural Engineer to join their proficient and experienced team at their Central London office. The consultancy has around 70 staff and is the in house design arm for a major contractor but also has much of their own external works as well.
Responsibilities- Work on a wide variety of challenging projects, including large buildings design projects often involving high profile and complex schemes.
- Involvement in demolition works, needling and propping, façade retentions, foundation designs, stability and alteration works, basements, geotechnical works and some permanent works.
- At least some years of experience as a structural engineer in a buildings environment.
- Full right to work in the UK and living within commuting distance.
- Temporary works design experience is preferable but not essential.
- Role will include some permanent works design and geotechnical works.
- Excellent communication skills in English; a problem solving and can-do attitude; ability to work in a fast-paced, contractor-led environment.
- A strong emphasis on high quality design solutions with a pathway to Chartered status; relevant training and support provided if not already achieved.
