Job DescriptionParsons Corporation – Associate Structural Bridge Engineer – Transportation Infrastructure
OverviewOur Parsons Baltimore, Maryland office is now hiring for an Entry level Junior Associate Structural Bridge Engineer to support work on road and highway projects in the general DC, Maryland, and Virginia regions. Parsons’s extensive experience in this field, combined with your engineering knowledge, will propel your career forward with opportunity for advancement with top performance. This entry level role is open to new or recent graduates of a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program in Civil/Structural Engineering and offers flexible hybrid remote working (home 2 days per week).
Responsibilities- Design and develop bridge projects for State DOTs and city/local community projects.
- Perform engineering computations, material quantity take‑offs, estimates, surveys, and designs under close supervision.
- Utilize Micro Station CAD software and other engineering software to prepare drawings and documentation.
- Assist in field inspections and prepare inspection reports.
- Support additional engineering activities and tasks as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or related field), with emphasis on structural classes.
- Desirable: related work experience and/or internships in structural engineering.
- Desirable: EIT Certificate.
- Basic process engineering knowledge and working knowledge of CAD and other PC engineering software.
