Engineer - Battery Case Welding

Magnit Direct Sourcing on behalf of Toyota is currently hiring an Engineer for a temporary assignment in Georgetown, KY.

This is a 12 month contract position. The pay range for this role is between $40/hr - $45/hr benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401K.

• Candidate will be responsible for procuring and designing specifications of machines, robots, and other similar equipment used for Battery Case Welding.
• Manage and work with machine vendors to confirm correct quality and specification of machines.
• Experience using AutoCAD and CATIA, C3, or another 3D design tool.
• 2-5 years of experience in Manufacturing of Automotive Industry.
• Duties include:
  
  Process Planning;
  Machine Specifications;
  Machine/Equipment Procurement;
  Installation/Trial Management;
  Project Management;
  Schedule Control;
  Budget Control/Cost Reduction;
  Manufacturing Support/Process Tracking.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts as typical work is conducted at non-production times.
• The position is home-based at PEMC office in Georgetown, KY. Willing to support business travel as required, including short-term or long-term dispatch if required.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Proficient computer skills: MS Office, CAD packages (AutoCAD, Catia, C3).
• Manufacturing/Processing experience.
• Additional desired qualifications:
  Bodyshop Engineering Experience, New Model Introduction experience. Up to 5 years Automotive/Manufacturing Engineering Experience.
• Standard work hours Mon‑Fri 8 am‑5 pm.
• OT: ~30 %
• Travel: ~30 %. Mainly within North America (though Mexico, Canada, Japan travel is possible).

Work Authorization: Green Card, US Citizen

Preferred years of experience: 2 years

Travel required: 25% to 50%

Shift timings: 9 AM to 5 PM
