Position Overview

We are actively looking for an Estimating Manager, to lead estimates and an estimating team, for our Heavy Civil Infrastructure work in the TN, KY, MS and surrounding states. In this role, you will work with key leaders in our preconstruction and construction teams, supporting a variety of Infrastructure self‑performed projects. This division of Kiewit executes hands‑on construction in the infrastructure market performing mass grading/excavation, drainage, paving, utility work, earthwork, site development, concrete, asphalt for large scale highway/bridge projects, aviation projects, rail/transit, reservoirs, and heavy water/wastewater.

If you have 10+ years in estimating for design build/EPC projects in the infrastructure market, and at least 5 years managing estimating teams, we would love to talk with you! Duties will include but are not limited to leading and developing a team of estimators, participating in, and implementing win strategies, presenting estimates to executive management and clients, reading and interpreting documents, soliciting subcontractors, analyzing drawings and specifications, value management, reviewing and assisting with proposals, and other duties as required to prepare cost estimates/proposals for various types of work (including self‑perform)

ENR ranks us as #2 in Construction, and we excel at delivering EPC projects, particularly in large‑scale infrastructure projects. If you are looking for a career, with stability and a diverse portfolio of EPC projects to work on and want to work on hyperscale projects, look no further! We are an employee‑owned company which fosters dedication and commitment to project success and are positioned as a key player in meeting growing infrastructure construction demands across the country.

We cultivate a culture of excellence, innovation and teamwork, making it the most rewarding place to build your career.

At Kiewit, we believe in building more than just structures, we build relationships, strengthen communities and improve the world. We don't just build projects - we build careers! We are the best at what we do. With top notch health benefits, great time off, flexible work options, a wealth‑building 401K plan and unbeatable growth opportunities - we are deeply invested in the future of our employees.

Your future is here. Join us at Kiewit, where we go beyond engineering and construction to build the road to success!

District Overview

Kiewit’s Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete/bridge, water/wastewater, and transportation projects. We self‑perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, underground piping, underground utility infrastructure, and more - so be ready to get your hands dirty! While headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the majority of our work is concentrated in the Central and South‑Central regions of the United States.

We are looking for people committed to the construction industry rather than design.

Location

This position is located in our Brentwood TN regional office, with travel as needed in the region and to other Kiewit offices. We offer relocation assistance for this position. This position does require being in the office, to manage the team, and is not hybrid, nor remote.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and Lead complete estimates for self‑performed construction scopes of work for design/build, design/bid/build and EPC projects for infrastructure projects (Heavy Civil, Highway, Bridge, Rail/Transit, Utilities, Drainage, Aviation)
  • Review owner plans and specifications to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project; develop plan for the actual construction to serve as basis for the estimate.
  • Review and assist with proposals and other documentation to prepare cost estimates. Review all bid and contract documents and home office legal department opinions.…
