Power Systems Modeling Engineer

Contract length: 6 months (May transition to hybrid; must have equipment to work from home.)

• Perform transmission network modeling updates to enterprise engineering models used in the Energy Management System and wholesale market software
• Conduct functional and regression testing for Day-Ahead/Real-Time Market applications, Market Quality Solutions, and Transmission Network Applications (SE, RTCA, VSA, DSA)
• Validate that software and network models comply with business rules, policies, and operational reliability
• Demonstrate awareness of policy issues; anticipate, identify, and resolve engineering-related problems
• Maintain current applications, analyze system errors, identify root causes, and support timely issue resolution
• Partner with internal teams to define functional requirements and improve understanding of system capabilities
• Integrate, enhance, test, and support DAM, RTM, MQS, and other advanced operational applications
• Assist in designing, testing, documenting, and delivering user training materials as needed
