A seed-funded startup focused on maritime domain awareness is looking for an Applied Machine Learning Engineer to join their team. This role would revolve around building, deploying, and experimentation of robotic AI cameras that can run 24/7, zoom in 7 nautical miles, identify activity, read vessel numbers and also theorize causation of maritime activity.
This highly autonomous role is perfect for an engineer that is able to be flexible, work across a range of machine learning and perception tasks. The engineer would be able to work with computer vision and senior fusion models, build inference pipelines, design experiments, fine-tune production behavior.
Required Skills & Experience- Advanced Degree (Master's or PhD)
- US Citizenship is required
- Proficiency in Python, Tensor Flow or Py Torch
- Experience with Edge or embedded ML deployments
- Experience with AWS loT and deploying modules locally without AWS
- Familiarity with defense
- Work with resource constraint in the ocean
- Experience with Nvidia chips and Control Systems
- Experience with BSP (Board Support Package)
