Job Summary:

Senior IT Cloud Engineer for thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. in Southfield, Michigan. 10% travel both domestic and international. May telecommute from any location in U.S., 100% remote position.

Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, maintain, and improve cloud‑based IT solutions, and lead cloud initiatives while mentoring junior engineers. Design, implement and maintain Cloud‑based solutions including infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), and software as a service (SaaS). Manage and monitor Cloud resources to ensure high availability, performance, and security. Participate in strategic planning, such as developing new cloud strategies and roadmaps.

Act as infrastructure engineering representative on engineering teams for the design, development, implementation and/or integration of new cloud‑based solutions. Ensure systems accesses are compliant within company security standards. Create, catalog, and maintain technical documentation. Diagnose and troubleshoot access related problems and drive platform improvements. Support security planning, assessment, risk analysis, and risk management. Research industry trends and emerging Cloud technologies, share knowledge with the team, and make recommendations to improve cloud infrastructure.

Serve as technical lead on projects.

Requirements: 4 years of work experience in a Windows, Network, or System Administration, Network Engineering, Azure or AWS Cloud Services position; in lieu of 4 years of work experience, will accept Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field of study, or equivalent foreign degree +2 years of work experience in a Windows, Network, or System Administration, Network Engineering, Azure or AWS Cloud Services position.

Must have 2 years of work experience with each of the following: configuring and maintaining switches, routers, and firewalls; and configuring and managing wireless networks.

Salary Range:
One hundred forty seven thousand five hundred ninety seven to one hundred fifty seven thousand dollars per year.
