Procurement Manager – AGCO Corporation
AGCO Corporation seeks an experienced Procurement Manager to lead day‑to‑day activities for >30 suppliers in the Castings category. The role reports to the Global Category Manager for Castings & Machined Components and supports suppliers across North America and global locations.
Key responsibilities include managing annual purchasing volume of ~28M USD, identifying cost‑reduction opportunities, ensuring supplier performance on cost, delivery, and quality, leading quotations, technical discussions, and final negotiations for New Product Introduction projects. The role also drives long‑term agreement negotiations, cross‑functional collaboration with Engineering, Operations, and Finance teams, and global sub‑category strategy for raw and machined large Iron Castings parts.
Your Impact- Develop and execute sub‑category sourcing strategies aligned with the overall category plan.
- Reach cost‑savings targets through market research and supplier benchmarking.
- Identify best sources for part quotations, ensuring RFX on time and selecting the supplier that best meets AGCO needs.
- Develop purchase bids for multiple projects while interacting with internal stakeholders.
- Take the lead for long‑term agreements, managing supplier negotiations to achieve cost savings, optimize payment terms, and drive value creation.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferred), Business Administration, or related business field; minimum 5 years of experience.
- Fluent English communication; proficiency in MS Office (Excel & PowerPoint); strong interpersonal skills.
- Minimum 5 years of negotiation experience in purchasing, hands‑on and result‑driven; experience in castings category is a plus.
- Strong negotiation ability, proactive, results‑oriented mindset.
- Track record of reducing product cost by 2% YoY, optimizing payment terms, achieving new product introduction goals, and increasing dual‑sourcing and low‑cost‑country content in North America.
