We are seeking a full-time Level II or III Electrical Design Engineer to join a tightknit engineering team for a company based in New York, USA.
Ideal candidates are self-motivated, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced environments where their work has immediate impact. The company is a 15-year-old hardware innovation studio based in Brooklyn, working with entrepreneurs and companies of all sizes to invent, prototype, and transition new technologies into manufacturable, market-ready products.
This position offers hands-on experience in hardware design and development, with a focus on supporting the prototyping and testing phases under team supervision.
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and testing electrical systems for a variety of client and internal projects. While primarily part of the EE department, the engineer will also collaborate across mechanical engineering, industrial design, and supply chain functions. Tasks may include PCB design, bring-up, troubleshooting, soldering, EE-to-ME integration, and analog/digital/RF/power testing. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential, as the role demands thorough documentation and consistent progress updates to ensure work aligns with timelines, budgets, and scope.
Qualifications & Requirements:- At least a BS or BE in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science with hardware focus, or related Electronic Design field of study.
- A minimum of 3-5 years related experience.
- Experience in Eagle, Fusion, Arduino, Segger and STM

CubeIDE or equivalent. - Comfortable writing firmware in C and C++ programming languages.
- Experience in design, repair and analysis of electronic systems.
- Comfortable working on Mac and PC computers.
- Technical writing skills are a plus.
- Must be a self starter and able to work independently and on teams.
- Excellent time management skills in order to prioritize deliverables and timelines.
- Must be a clear communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Should strive for excellence, find innovative solutions, be detail oriented and have an analytical mindset.

- At this time, all Engineering Staff must either be willing to relocate, or already reside in the NYC area.
- Compensation: $85,000 - $130,000 annually depending on experience and level.
